They may have lost a few members, but Blazin Squad have grown up and are back better than ever!


TvHits:Hi guys! What's happened to the rest of the Squad?
Melo-D:There's three in Friday Hill obviously. Lee is recording solo stuff so you'll hear from him soon. Tommy's doing some work for MTV and Ollie's doing some sales work, he's looking to set up his own business now, so we're all doing different things.
Stuart:Ollie's Del Boy!

TvHits:How come you split off the rest of the boys?
Melo-D:We had different ideas, we're all close mates but we just wanted to do different things.
Stuart:And basically we all wanted to earn a bit more money [laughs]

TvHits:Has your sound changed?
Plat'num:It's got a lot more mature, it's more vocal than rapping.
Melo-D:The songs sound like songs, instead of...not songs.
Plat'num:Instead of us lot rapping over everything we could rap over.

TvHits:What have you done while you've been away?
Sam:I don't know really. We kept writing and stuff.
Stuart:Just sat at home in our dressing gowns.

TvHits:Playing Play Station?
Stuart:Yeah. He [points at Sam] completed every Play Station game possible. on every setting. Because he is a geek. At heart he is a computer geek. He pretends he's a cool rapper and stuff but he's not, he's a geek!
Sam:I'm the biggest geek, but it's fine. It's wicked being a geek!

TvHits:Is it weird being on stage just four of you?
Stuart: It was at first.
Plat'num:I like it better now though.
Melo-D:There's more space and you can do what you want.
Sam:You can rap without someone smashing a mic on your head!
Stuart:It was dangerous having so many of us! Like a health hazard!

TvHits:Is it scary having more attention on you?
Plat'num:No. I like it.
Sam:It feels like you have to be doing something all the time, you used to be able to just sneak off and hide at the back!
Stuart:You have to perform all the time.
Sam:It is a good thing though.

TvHits:What's the new single 'All Night Long' about?
Plat'num:The new single is about having a party all night long, it's a summer track and it's basically saying we're going to party all night long and not care what anyone else thinks.

TvHits:What happens in the video?
Sam:I'm standing next to an ice bucket. That is actually true.
Melo-D:Yeah, Sam's not too happy with the video treatment 'cos me, Plat'num and Stuart are all with different ladies and then it cuts to him and he's just stood next to an ice bucket.
All: [laughs]
Melo-D:We're at a party on a roof terrace, at an outside party...
Sam:And I get to stand in the freezer!

The boys from Blazin Squad have changed the date of releasing their new single 'All Night Long'. The single will be released on 2nd October.

We film the video to all night long 2 weeks ago and that should be hitting you tv screens at the start of august trust me it looks wicked, it felt good to be infront of a video camera again,
